Kindle adds 70% royalties for Ireland and Gibraltar

Kindle authors can now get 70% royalties for ebooks published in Ireland and Gibraltar. Previously, only the 35% royalty rate was applicable in these two countries.

Authors publishing through Kindle Direct Publishing don’t have to do anything to qualify for the higher rate as books that are in the price range for 70% have been moved to that rate with effect from June 26 and any sales on the new rate will appear in payment reports in August.

For some markets, including Brazil, Japan Mexico, and India, Amazon stipulates that a book must be enrolled in KDP Select to qualify for 70% royalties.
