Entries are now open for the Writer’s Digest second Annual Self-Published Ebook Awards which offer $11,000 in cash prizes.
The content is exclusively for self-published ebooks and covers eight fiction and non-fiction categories. There are no word-count or page-count limits.
Ebooks can be entered in any of eight categories:

Mainstream/Literary Fiction

Genre Fiction (Includes all sub-genres such as Romance, Horror, Science Fiction, Humor, etc)

Non-fiction (General, Cookbooks, Reference, Guidebooks, Textbooks)

Inspirational (Spiritual, New Age)

Life Stories (Biographies, Autobiographies, Family Histories, Memoirs)

Middle-Grade/Young Adult books

Poetry
The early-bird deadline for entries is August 1 and the overall contest deadline is September 2.
There is an overall grand prize and prizes for all category winners. The Grand Prize Winner will get:

The First-Place Winner in each category will get:

Honorable Mention Winners will get $50 worth of Writer’s Digest books and will be promoted on www.writersdigest.com.
All entrants will get a brief commentary from the judges.
Online address
All entries must be made at the competition’s online address, providing a file of the book or submitting your entry by using the Amazon gifting process. Acceptable file types include .epub, .mobi, .ipa. Microsoft Word documents are not an acceptable file type.
The competition is open to all English-language self-published ebooks. Entries will be evaluated on content, writing quality and overall quality of production and appearance.
All ebooks published or revised between 2009 and your date of entry in 2014 are eligible.
Entry fees
Early-bird entry fees are $99 for the first entry and $75 for each additional if entered at the same time, during the same checkout.
Regular entry fees are $110 for the first entry, $85 for each additional if entered at the same time, during the same checkout entry.
Winners will be notified by December 31. Non-winners will be sent a competition status update following the winner notification date. Judges’ commentaries will be emailed to entrants by December 31.
