Amazon has added a new Marketing page to the Kindle Direct Publishing website to make it easier to find available resources to promote your books.
You will find the new section by clicking on the Marketing link that has been provided on the navigation menu after you log in to your KDP account.
It’s a very handy addition to the KDP site as accessing marketing for a book has always been inconvenient and the page also includes a link to your Author Central details, which makes it much easier.
With the new Marketing page, you can:
• View the available marketing tools and enrol eligible titles in promotional programs.
• Access the Amazon Advertising console.
• Navigate to Author Central to manage author pages and claim books to your author profile.
• Learn more about other marketing resources available to you.
If you want to take an action on a specific title, you can still access many of these tools on the Promote and Advertise page available from the Bookshelf section on the KDP site.
Amazon Advertising recently improved the ad performance dashboard for authors by adding Kindle Edition Normalised Pages (KENP) Read to the metrics available to gauge the effectiveness of ads.
KENP Read is the estimated number of normalised pages attributed to a Sponsored Products campaign from customers who borrow a book from Kindle Unlimited or the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library. KENP Read is automatically enabled, with data reported as of July 15, 2020. You can find it under the Campaign details for an ad. If it’s not showing, click on the Add Metric box.
