The Amazon Advertising scheme for KDP authors has expanded to cover Canada and Australia.
Sponsored Products ads have proved to be popular among KDP authors and the US market, in particular, has become very competitive and costs per click have risen, so having access to new advertising markets is a welcome move.
Amazon Advertising has been adding features in recent months and now offers a separate Marketing page on KDP accounts which takes you straight to the promotional resources available. In July this year, Amazon also added Kindle Unlimited KENP Pages to the metrics available on the ad performance dashboard.
How to advertise on Amazon Advertising in Canada and Australia
To start advertising in the Canada and Australia, you can either go direct to the new Marketing Page section on your Kindle Direct Publishing account or go to the Bookshelf on your KDP account and click Promote and Advertise shown on the right of the page under Kindle Ebook Actions.
Under the Run an Ad Campaign box there is now the option to Choose a marketplace from a dropdown menu, as shown in the screenshot at the top of this article. You now have a selection from Amazon.com (US), Amazon.co.uk (UK), Amazon.de (Germany), Amazon.fr (France), Amazon.it (Italy), Amazon.es (Spain), Amazon.ca (Canada), and Amazon.com.au (Australia).
