Indies are the future of book publishing

The future of book publishing lies with the independents, according to journalist and ebook writer and publisher Robert Niles.

At Online Journalism Review, Niles says traditional publishers are loaded with costs while indies like himself have the skills to research, write, publish and market ebooks. His encouraging message to journalists is: if you can tell stories that people want to read, eBooks are a marketplace in which people are paying authors – nearly directly – to read them.
