UK bookshop chain Waterstones is now starting the official transfer of its ebook customers to Kobo after announcing the shutdown of its ebook operation recently.
Waterstones is the latest firm to pull out of the ebook market and if you have an account with them you should be getting an email which sets out the steps you need you take.
To transfer your ebooks to Kobo, you should click on the ‘Complete Transfer’ button in the email or go direct to the Kobo migration page at Kobobooks. You’ll need to either sign in with
an existing Kobo account or create a new Kobo account.
Once you’ve signed in, you should see a list of your ebooks that have been transferred from Waterstones ebooks to Kobo and then it’s time to download the Kobo app.
If you have more than one Waterstones ebook account, you should get a separate email for each one and you can transfer them to a single Kobo account by signing in to the same Kobo account.
