Inspired, apparently, by the commercial success of 50 Shades of Grey, a UK university is offering a Master’s Degree course in self-publishing, claimed to be the first of its kind on the world.
The University of Central Lancashire says self-publishing is now a highly successful and respected business model for new and established authors and claim its dynamic MA course will reveal how to make self-publishing work for you.
It says the course will equip students with all the necessary skills needed to be a self-published author, including:
-

-

-

-

-
Marketing yourself and your book
-
How to create an ebook
The final part of the course will give students the opportunity to complete a finished copy of their book.
The course will be taught by industry experts with contributions from successful self-published authors. Students will get round-the-clock access to the university’s bespoke publishing house in the state-of-the-art Media Factory with all the latest equipment and industry-level software such as Creative Cloud, InDesign and Nielsen Bookscan.
