The 2022 UK Kindle Storyteller UK contest is now open and accepting entries for this year’s award featuring a top prize of £20,000.
The contest is open to entries until the closing date of August 31, 2022. Writers must publish in English in any genre through Kindle Direct Publishing. Books must be made available in ebook and print format and be enrolled in KDP Select.
To enter the contest you will need to enter StorytellerUK2022 in the keywords metadata field when you publish your book on kdp.amazon.co.uk
You will find the keywords metadata section on the book Details page when you are publishing through KDP, as shown in the screenshot here. Amazon has also added a reminder on the keywords section for Storyteller entrants.
Readers play a significant role in selecting the award winner, helped by a panel of judges.
Last year’s Kindle Storyteller winner was Rachel McLean with her crime mystery The Corfe Castle Murders.
This is the sixth year of the Kindle Storyteller Award and it has been won by novels each year except for 2020 when a non-fiction travel book took the £20,000 prize with Anna McNuff’s Llama Drama.
See the UK Kindle Storyteller contest page for full entry requirements.
