Kindle Unlimited KENP rate for June falls to $0.0042 as KDP fund rises stay sluggish

The Kindle Unlimited KENP rate for June 2017 showed a further small fall to $0.0042 from $0.0043 in July.

The KDP Select Global fund for June rose by its now customary $100,000 to a new high of $18 million from $17.9 million in the previous month.

The KENP rate has now fallen by $0.0010 since December 2016’s $0.0052. The KDP Select fund has risen by only £200,000 since January when it was $17.8 million.

By way of comparison, 2016 saw a rise of $1.4 million from $14 million in February (when KENP v2.0 kicked in) to $15.4 million in June.

However, over the year from June 2016 to June 2017, the fund has risen by $2.6 million, from $15.4 million to $18 million — an increase of 16%.

Previous seasonal trends show the brakes go on to the KDP Select fund during the summer before stronger rises in the autumn but this year we seem to have missed out on the usual spring boost.

Dividing the June 2017 KDP Select fund of $18 million by the US KENP rate of $0.0042 gives a total of around 4.28 billion KENPs read during the month, up from 4.16 billion KENPs in May and 3.95 billion KENPs during April.
