Ebook promotion site The Fussy Librarian has hit the milestone of 200,000 readers signed up to its free ebook newsletter and is celebrating by offering 200 free promotions to new customers.
The Fussy Librarian has been in business for several years and has two daily newsletters — The Mostly Bargain Ebook Newsletter, which has 120,000 subscribers, and The Free Ebook Newsletter, which now has 200,000 subscribers.
If you’re an author who wants to enter the giveaway then you can sign up here at The Fussy Librarian. The giveaway is open to entries until September 23 and is only for free ebook promotions.
The Mostly Bargain newsletter generally includes ebooks that are on a promotional price although free ebooks are also allowed. A price of $5.99 or less is required on the day of promotion and TFL recommends a sale price of $0.99 or $2.99.
For The Free Ebook newsletter ebooks must be free for the entire day of promotion (US time).
Unlike many ebook promotion sites, The Fussy Librarian does not have any review requirements which makes it particularly useful for authors who are looking to promote a new release although the firm points out that books with more reviews generally do better.
Advertising costs are reasonable and are set on a category basis, so, for example, a Contemporary Romance promo (around 80,000 subscribers) would cost $20 for the bargain newsletter or $38 for the free newsletter.
